What is In or On Fabric?

You may notice each of our product listings note the design to be printed IN or ON fabric. Confused? Don't worry you're not alone. Please allow us to clarify.

IN FABRIC has a texture indistinguishable from the garment itself. As a result in fabric prints are ultra comfy and completely unnoticeable to the touch. Because the dye is in the garment fabric, in fabric designs are made to take on a bit of the garment's native color. This is why in fabric prints are unavailable on darker colors like black and brown. These designs tend to show better on lighter color fabric. They are also a bit cheaper.

ON FABRIC has a smooth, soft, texture that is noticeably different than the garment. These prints move with the garment, folding and bending naturally for a comfortable fit. Because the ink is printed on top of the fabric, the resulting design has extraordinarily vibrant and detailed coloring. This is why on fabric prints are available on dark colors like black. These designs show well on nearly any color garment not matching the dominate color of the design. Most of our on fabric designs are also noticeably larger.

Both print types have their advantages. Don't worry though, there's no need to be concerned about selecting the right print type. We have already listed each product with the appropriate print method.
